All-Tex Recyclers harness the power of wind!

Action Cancer £16600

All-Tex Recyclers has further strengthened its commitment to environmentally sustainable development by becoming the first private company in Northern Ireland to install a Gaia Tubular Tower wind turbine in association with Silverford Renewables.

All-Tex Recyclers hopes to generate 30,000kWh during its first year and plans to use the energy generated to help power their growing textile processing plant in Cloughmills. It is estimated that the installation will generate savings of approximately £6,500 per annum and will ensure that All-Tex Recyclers continues to develop its already strong green credentials.

Paula Mc Auley, Business Development Manager said 'All-Tex Recyclers is committed to being an environmentally conscious and responsible company. We are continually investing in our infrastructure and have taken the lead by installing this energy saving technology. We hope to inspire other local companies to do whatever they can to reduce their carbon footprint.

The wind turbine was installed by Silverford Renewables who specialize in the best domestic and commercial wind turbine products. Barry Meeke from Silverford Renewables stated: 'The Gaia 133 Wind Turbine packs a powerful punch, and is ideally suited for moderate wind speed sites. Its massive 13.5 meter blade makes the Gaia 133 the highest yielding turbine its class, by a considerable margin. A proven and well-established Danish design, with over 2000 years of combined service, made this a very attractive option for All-Tex Recyclers, and we envisage them having many years of trouble free operation'.
